Meet the Glenrock Health Center Team
I began my first responder career at the young age of 19, when I became a Wildland Firefighter and an EMT. I then pursued my Registered Nurse degree and enjoyed many years working as an Emergency Room RN where I discovered my true passion was my patient. I decided to advance my career and become a Family Nurse Practitioner. As an Arizona native, being able to join this practice in beautiful Wyoming is a dream come true. When I am not working, I enjoy taking advantage of all the outdoor activities and adventures I can find with my spouse and our 7 boys!
Audrey is a Wyoming native spending most of her time exploring the outdoors. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Social Work from the University of Wyoming practicing as a medical social worker and case manager in the acute hospital setting for many years. Audrey later returned to the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work to complete her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work. With training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness, she is excited to join the Glenrock community to provide caring and compassionate counseling. She enjoys spending time with her family exploring all the beauty and adventure Wyoming has to offer.
Dr. Joey Mickelson
Dr. Mickelson is a Western Medical Associates Doctor and is seeing patients two days per month at the Glenrock Health Center. A graduate of Creighton University School of Medicine, he served his residency in Casper and has practiced as Team Physician for the Wyoming Cavalry and the Casper Ghosts. He enjoys softball, basketball and especially fly fishing.
I was born and raised in sunny South Florida where I spent many Summer days fishing and playing softball. Since sophomore year in high school, I knew I wanted to become a physician assistant (PA) after an interaction with a PA that made me feel heard and important. With this lasting impression, I knew I wanted and could do the same for others. I have experience in Pediatrics, Family Medicine, and Urgent Care. I recently moved to Wyoming with my husband and 3-year-old daughter. The transition has been smooth as we quickly noticed the warm welcoming gestures of this community. On my time off, I enjoy playing a variety of sports.
Don is a Nurse Practitioner that is board certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. He has lived in Glenrock for many years and is excited to be seeing patients in his hometown. He has worked as an Intensive Care, Lifeflight, and Emergency Room nurse. When he is not working he spends his time hunting, fishing, camping, and mountain biking with his wife and boys.
